{"id":890,"date":"2016-11-08T09:13:59","date_gmt":"2016-11-08T08:13:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/academy.pittmanseafoods.com\/fr\/?p=890"},"modified":"2016-12-02T08:53:38","modified_gmt":"2016-12-02T07:53:38","slug":"moules-lautre-industrie-aquacole-du-chili","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/academy.pittmanseafoods.com\/fr\/2016\/11\/moules-lautre-industrie-aquacole-du-chili\/","title":{"rendered":"Moules : l&rsquo;autre industrie aquacole du Chili"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Bien que les salmonid\u00e9s du Chili (le saumon atlantique et argent\u00e9 ainsi que la truite arc-en-ciel) dominent la production aquacole de ce pays d\u2019Am\u00e9rique du sud, l&rsquo;industrie des moules y est depuis longtemps un moteur \u00e9conomique extr\u00eamement important jouant un r\u00f4le majeur dans l&rsquo;ensemble des stocks mondiaux de ces bivalves.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La culture des moules au Chili repose sur la production de trois principales esp\u00e8ces : la moule du Chili (<em>Mytilus chilensis<\/em>), d\u00e9sign\u00e9e localement sous le terme de \u00ab chorito \u00bb et la plus connue au niveau international, la moule cholga (<em>Aulacomya ater<\/em>) et la moule g\u00e9ante ou choro (<em>Choromytilus chorus<\/em>). Bien que la plupart des moules chiliennes soient export\u00e9es, toutes les moules cholga et choro sont consomm\u00e9es localement.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>RACINES ET D\u00c9FIS\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>La culture des moules au Chili remonte aux ann\u00e9es 40, lorsque la surexploitation des moules cholga et choro dans la zone comprise entre Valdivia et Chilo\u00e9 au sud du pays entra\u00eena des exp\u00e9riences consistant \u00e0 recueillir des larves de moules pour r\u00e9approvisionner les lits naturels.\u00a0D\u00e8s les ann\u00e9es 60, ces efforts se traduisirent par les premiers \u00e9levages de moules au Chili, et \u00e0 l&rsquo;or\u00e9e du XXI\u00e8me si\u00e8cle, la production annuelle d\u00e9passait les 60 000 tonnes.<\/p>\n<p>La production de moules continua de cro\u00eetre jusqu&rsquo;en 2008, date \u00e0 laquelle les exportations atteignirent une valeur de 130 millions de dollars am\u00e9ricains (soit 116,2 millions d&rsquo;euros), un record pour l&rsquo;\u00e9poque, avant de subir un net ralentissement d\u00fb \u00e0 la crise \u00e9conomique mondiale, coupl\u00e9e \u00e0 des d\u00e9fis environnementaux li\u00e9s au ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne climatique de La Ni\u00f1a. Tout cela pr\u00e9c\u00e9da le violent tremblement de terre de f\u00e9vrier 2010 qui perturba les niveaux d&rsquo;eau normaux et les courants dans certaines fermes, endommageant les stocks marins et affectant la croissance des moules.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UN SECTEUR R\u00c9SISTANT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Malgr\u00e9 ces obstacles importants, la production et la demande sont de nouveau reparties \u00e0 la hausse, la production chilienne de moules totalisant l&rsquo;an pass\u00e9 89 944 tonnes. Par cons\u00e9quent, les exportations ont augment\u00e9 de plus de 8 pour cent pour atteindre les 69 700 tonnes l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re : une nouvelle confirmation du leadership mondial du Chili dans l&rsquo;exportation des moules.<\/p>\n<p>Traditionnellement, l&rsquo;Europe repr\u00e9sente pr\u00e8s de 70 % des exportations de moules chiliennes, et en termes de valeur, le Chili a export\u00e9 l\u2019ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re pour plus de 139 millions de dollars am\u00e9ricains (soit 124,4 millions d&rsquo;euros) vers la r\u00e9gion.<\/p>\n<p>Au cours des derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, les producteurs chiliens ont \u00e9galement conquis le march\u00e9 chinois, avec des exportations atteignant 1,2 million de dollars am\u00e9ricains (soit 1,1 million d&rsquo;euro) en 2015. Ils s&rsquo;attendent en outre \u00e0 une intensification de ce commerce dans les ann\u00e9es \u00e0 venir, les exportations \u00e9tant favoris\u00e9es par l&rsquo;absence de droits de douane sur les produits de la mer chiliens, d\u00e9cid\u00e9e par la Chine l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re.<\/p>\n<p>Toutefois, la production ayant diminu\u00e9 cette ann\u00e9e en raison des m\u00eames prolif\u00e9rations d&rsquo;algues qui ont caus\u00e9 d&rsquo;importants probl\u00e8mes \u00e0 l&rsquo;industrie nationale du saumon d&rsquo;\u00e9levage, ainsi qu&rsquo;en raison de temp\u00e9ratures plus \u00e9lev\u00e9es, on pr\u00e9voit que le total des volumes d&rsquo;exportation et du chiffre d&rsquo;affaires devrait baisser \u00e0 court terme.<\/p>\n<p><strong>DURABILIT\u00c9<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>En reconnaissant la demande croissante des consommateurs en mati\u00e8re de produits de la mer p\u00each\u00e9s ou produits de mani\u00e8re responsable, la p\u00eacherie et culture suspendue des moules chiliennes, qui se situe dans la r\u00e9gion X de Los Lagos de Chile au sud-est de l&rsquo;oc\u00e9an Pacifique, dans la zone statistique 87 de la FAO, est devenue la premi\u00e8re p\u00eacherie nationale \u00e0 \u00eatre certifi\u00e9e MSC (Conseil d&rsquo;intendance des mers).<\/p>\n<p>Il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;une p\u00eacherie am\u00e9lior\u00e9e qui s&rsquo;appuie sur le recueil de graines de moules. Toutefois, elle ne prend en charge ni l&rsquo;alimentation, ni la pr\u00e9vention des maladies. De plus, les modifications de l&rsquo;habitat sont r\u00e9versibles et ne provoquent pas de dommages s\u00e9rieux ou irr\u00e9versibles \u00e0 la structure et \u00e0 la fonction de l&rsquo;\u00e9cosyst\u00e8me naturel. L&rsquo;Espagne constitue le plus grand march\u00e9 commercial pour la r\u00e9colte de la p\u00eacherie, suivie par le reste de l&rsquo;Europe et les \u00c9tats-Unis.
